We're expecting most of our support from the fans that know and Love us, but just in case you've run across this website and have no idea who we are, here's a quick rundown...

ilyAIMY (i love you And I Miss You) is a rarity - a band that advertises itself as unique and is actually unique. Over the years, we have won over audiences with our intense lyrics, percussive, progressive sound, tight male/ female harmonies, and award-winning songwriting (ilyAIMY singer/songwriters rob hinkal and Heather Lloyd are each top-ten finalists in the 2005 Susquehanna Music and Arts Festival Songwriter Contest, ilyAIMY won the Takoma Park Folk Festival Showcase in 2004, and received Washington Area Music Award nominations for Best Contemporary Folk Act of 2002, and Best Alternative Rock Album of 2001).

ilyAIMY has been accused of being a cross between Jethro Tull and Tool - with the guitar stylings of Ani Difranco, the frenetic energy of Nickel Creek on crack, the vocal intricacies of quickly spewn rap and the vocal harmonies of Cry! Cry! Cry!. They are heavily seasoned by such wide-ranging influences as Alice in Chains, Cypress Hill, the Indigo Girls, Metallica... R&B, heavy metal, gospel choirs and bluegrass, ilyAIMY is a very modern take on folk music. Fronted by acoustic guitars and tightly interwoven harmonies, ilyAIMY is a high-energy creature of Live percussive performance.
