The Takoma Park Open Mic is sponsored by House of Musical Traditions and takes place at Capital City Cheesecake every Sunday from 6pm to 9pm. We welcome all manner of FAMILY-FRIENDLY performance & your host rob Hinkal of the band ilyAIMY will endeavour to make you feel welcome. Performances are limited to two pieces / 10 minutes (whichever's shorter - and later acts MAY be shortened so everyone can play) & are broadcast Live & archived at www.ustream.tv/channel/ilyaimy. Signup runs from 5.30 to 6 and the list fills fast (though I make sure first-timers get to play, as long as they've gotten there for signup!). Put your name on a card, slip that into the Fishbowl of Fate and be ready when you're name is called! Capital City Cheesecake has a wonderful menu of sandwiches & wraps & beers & wines & of course, fantastic cheesecake.
