We played a wonderful bar gig last night. But it was a BAR gig. Very bar. We played loud and hard because nothing else was going to cut through the chaos, and people responded because we are legitimately more exciting than sportsball.
However, sometimes it's nice to prove we're not just blunt instruments (haha), and that requires a different kind of environment.
Despite the name, the One World Coffeehouse is NOT a "coffeehouse" by current standards. I know some people have been concerned about a ticketed show where espresso machines wanted to express themselves and baristas needed to yell orders at one another... but this is an OLD SCHOOL "coffeehouse" where you're there for the music and the coffee's just a background smell.
We'll be the feature, not the bug.
We'll be a quartet : with Kristen joining us on cello and Rowan Corbett joining us on percussion, guitar, vocals, didgeridoo... and we'll get to slow down and break your heart a little... cause it's a listening room!
