Huh. September, you say? This week alone we've got four outdoor shows, I'M playing a showcase, Heather's playing a Lair, and over the course of the month we'll play some gardens, some courtyards, a festival in Pennsylvania and we'll once again ride the Dark Horse on a Wednesday leading to confusion and late-night madness.

But if your attention span is like mine, and you need to have some MUSIC with your music - we also get to play four festivals this month with a bunch of other artists. Monday we return to Summer's Farm's Sunflower Festival, this weekend we return to the Takoma Park Folk Festival, on the 21st we're off to Solomons for Artsfest 24, and we'll get out to Rockwood, PA to join an old, old friend for their local Parktoberfest event. See? We Love you and we miss you Corey! We DO!

I want to remind you that everyone has their own projects too. Me? I've got two showcases coming up (listed below) and of course my weekly open mic series. It would be cliche to wonder where the summer went. It'd also be silly. Summer's still here. Lurking. I can feel it's hot, moist breath on my neck as I write this, and when I spin around on my cat-hair-covered spinny chair to look it in the eye it tries to act all nonchalant, like it wasn't still here... lurking.

Summer's not cool, man. It's a stalker. Cropping up in unexpected places, making things uncomfortable. It follows you around and makes unwelcome advances. It makes you want to take your clothes off and then fills you with regret. 

In short, I'm not a fan. 

Move along summer. Move along.
