Happy Thanksgiving week my friends! That came along rather swiftly.

rob's open mics : Rupert Wates

We've had many a fantastic featured artist this month at my open mics - and we've got two last open mics and one last feature : Rupert Wates from the UK will be joining us both Monday night at Teavolve and Tuesday night at Busboys and Poets : Takoma. He's a fabulous writer, an elegant performer... the voice of Colin Hay and the fingerpicking of ... of a a really good fingerpicker... which he is! So I'll stop making comparisons and just let you know that you should come hang out and listen, or come and play, and join us and Rupert Wates for a couple of fantastic open mic nights! Wandering and Wondering:

Heather and Kristen and I are grateful for lots of things - not least of which is simply one another. We're making our way back up the coast from Wilmington, NC right now where we reconnected with lots of friends and new-to-us-beautiful-people. We're listening to Temple of the Dog and I'm realizing that though Chris Cornell delivered it convincingly, I don't think anyone would take ME seriously if I sang :

"AND MY MESSAGE IS OF LOOOOOOVE!!!!"

Yeah.

People would snort into their lattes.

Have a good Thanksgiving my friends - and if it's not specifically something you celebrate, it's still not bad advice : take time to be thankful, because you do NOT know what happens tomorrow. Let your friends and family know you Love'm.
