I was excited about this past weekend. That excitement was born out as it was a truly exquisite sprint through the winding-est roads of Connecticut to play wonderful gigs with wonderful people. I'm just about AS excited about this WEEK because it's just got that spice of Life that iiiiissssss soooo nice : melange?

I get to host a guest on our Live from the Lair stream! I get to guest-host an open mic in Ellicott City! We lost our gig in DC and canceled Saturday's show in Rockville, but Jimmy Stewart is opening his Mysterious Location to ilyAIMY for a FULL BAND SHOW on Friday night to make up for it - AND I've got a brand NEW open mic coming to Olney, MD starting in September. All the deets, goodies, and skinny doth be below... AND all of these events will be Live streamed on Facebook, YouTube and Twitch to boot! |

An incredible weekend, but COVID is romping merrily through Maryland upon our return and so with heads hung low we're doing the smart thing... we've postponed our Friday the 13th gig at Pete's BBQ and canceled our show a 7 Locks in Rockville. Indoors just ain't the place to be right now.
The Pete's show will be picked up when we can, and we have another date at 7 Locks in October.
In the meantime we WILL be doing an outdoors show in the Hanover, MD area on Friday the 13th and hope you can attend - however space is limited (my count is less than 30 spots left)! RSVP at houseconcert@ilyaimy.com with "Friday the 13th" and the number of attendees in the subject line!
As for the above-mentioned NEW open mic...
The Monday night VOM has served us and our community pretty well over the last 72 weeks (!?) - and I'm still conflicted over an in-person return. However, Sandy Spring Museum in Olney, MD has a beautiful courtyard and Institute of Musical Traditions is partnering with us to create a Tuesday night open mic starting on September 7th. I JUST confirmed some details - advance signup required, performances from 7-9.30 or so - and the first couple of featured artists ... I dunno... a guy named Christylez Bacon, Tom Prasada-Rao... and others... are kinda awesome.
Rowan and I will be hosting this event and we shall see where it leads us! Details (and as mentioned above, goodies and skinny) coming soon! |
