Dangerous Music for Dangerous Times |

I must admit - the REAL subject of this morning's upDates should be HOLY CRAP IT'S SEPTEMBER TOMORROW but I know subject lines should NOT be in all-caps.
But it's what I feel.
There's a lot of research into how our memories have been jangled and rewired by the strangeness and slow numbing horror of the past year and a half that explains why I'm both horrified at how swiftly September hath come ripping into my calendar AND how the summer seems never-ending - but with TWO full band shows, one this weekend with Mark H Taiko in College Park and one at the end of the month at the dazzling Sky Stage in Frederick, MD - it's due to be a great September now that it's finally / suddenly here.
My SPRING open mic is ALSO finally / suddenly here, kicking off next week in Olney, MD with featured artist Tom Prasada-Rao. We have a number of winery shows, the Ellicott City Main Street Festival, Gettysburg Wine and Music Festival AND a quick trip out to University of Pittsburgh Greensburg to boot.
Gah. I think I finally / suddenly alarmed myself. It's like a horror movie. Tense throbbing music has been pulsing in the background and now finally / suddenly and with a great sense of relief / panic - September is here.

It was an incredible weekend. I played to SUCH amazing audiences and I'm in danger of floating away on a cloud of Loooove. Or possibly pork products.
There was a REALLY GOOD food truck at Saturday night's show.
I'm not EVEN too down about my car.
