Jillian Matundan has a special place in my heart. She's one of the first people I met "through" COVID and then encountered in real Life. We've worked together on a bunch of different things and we've even had a "just company" Zoom meeting, meaning, though we'd connected to work on something specific, it eventually devolved into her working on one thing, me working on another, and just being connected for the sake of company! There was just something good about knowing she was there. We asked questions here and there, but it was just like... she was in the room and we were working and that was all there was to it. It's a type of interaction I've always Loved, and it's cool to be able to have that with someone.
I don't know WHAT to expect tomorrow. I'm out of practice jamming. We've never played with Jillian. She keeps threatening to bring other instruments. It don't matter. We're going to have a great time.
OH - and she's an award-winning singer/songwriter multi-instrumentalist activist labor organizer BEEST.
