Greetings to June everyone. I write this with a vision to the future on Sunday afternoon as I ready myself for the SOWEBO Music and Arts Festival, glorying in perfect weather for an outdoor show, looking out on to the calendar and hoping we can eke out a couple more days like this.

We've partnered with a Print on Demand company allowing us a couple of new t-shirt options and other new stuff coming soon. We've of course got pins and download cards and the last few Side Spine shirts in stock, but now "classic spine" wear in various sizes (including a TINY for the next generation amongst us) is all available on our ilyAIMY square site. These POD items will NOT be available at shows!

In addition, we've finally created a PHYSICAL DISC version of Live from the New Deal! Because we just figured it'd be too expensive to make a double-disc set it's not NEARLY the amount of music that the digital version has, but it brings copies of Rowan's songs Minotaur and Charm and Strange, as well as newer ilyAIMY songs like New American to a physical CD format for the first time.

OH - and we're really gonna TRY to FINALLY start the open mic in Ellicott City! It's all we can do, right? Try. Because if I was a supervillain who could control the weather I probably would NOT just stop at making the weather ideal for my open mics.

Sunday's show at SOWEBO was a very, very good day. It reminded me just how stunning our Baltimore music scene is. I'm proud to be a part of it, and though it ALSO reminds me I need to get out there and be a BETTER part of it - I must admit that with sooo many people coming down with pretty ferocious COVID infections right now - I guess it can wait a LITTLE BIT LONGER!

(everybody, feel better soon, it's why this month STILL every single show is either outdoors or a webcast except for 7 Locks, which still is a HUGE space)

The art and the vibrancy, the ferocity with which Baltimore Lives and breathes (though not on one another please) continues to be like no other town I've ever encountered. Catching a bit of blank POINT method, the Bali Lamas, Joe Keyes and the Late Bloomers Band. Femi and his INCREDIBLE Out of Water eXperience, the Scotch Bonnets. Seeing friends that I haven't seen face-to-face in far too long like my VOM crew, Kosi, Matt, the Awkward Pause House Concert peeps and their new kid, the family of Old Major... Teavolutionaries.... and of course Chuck the Madd Ox...
