ilyAIMY Dangerous Music for Dangerous Times
Happy November my Friends...

I'm trying something new with our mailing list - let me know if it's working for you - or if it's not! But be gentle. I am a delicate thing.

First off, let me declare unto Heather Aubrey Lloyd a MIGHTY and HAPPY birthday! Happy Halloween certainly, but mostly - happy burfday to my partner for almost two decades. Her powers have grown mightily since the day we met, and continue to flourish. If you want to wish her a happy anniversary o' birth, we're playing tonight in Ellicott City, she's playing tomorrow in Broadlands, VA, Saturday in Forest Hill AND Rockville, Sunday in Baltimore... more about her gigs at heatheraubreylloyd.com!

May I now call your attention unto the following: we've got an amazing show with our friends Ayreheart coming up in Virginia, a couple of house concerts in North Carolina, (probably) my last open mic at Busboys and Poets : Takoma and beyond that, check out my little write up on our song "Spring".

Apply thy eyes to thee below...

upComing and inComing:
Tonight in Ellicott City...
Triadelphia Permaculture Center | 12673 Triadelphia Rd, Ellicott City, MD 21042-1115 | 6pm | Tonight's Halloween party with Conor Brendan and the Wild Hunt is a GO! We've moved everything indoors and we're supposed to see some thunderstorms, perfect for moody music, but please be careful driving! Note that this is NOT in "Historic Ellicott City" where the flooding happens!

Sat Nov 16th - ilyAIMY and Ayreheart in Fairfax, VA
Sat Nov 16th - Epicure Cafe | Fairfax, VA11104 Lee Hwy, Fairfax, VA 22030 | Suggested donation $10 | If you’ve ever thought Baliset, Good Heart, or Rowan’s version of Blacksmith kind of needed a 20-string lute, electric violin and a massive frame drum to back them up – well, now’s your moment. If you ever thought Heather should probably sing some downright terrifying Renaissance songs about murder, Love and murder – well – now’s ALSO your moment. And for the rest of you, I’ll just mention the fact that somehow where Ayreheart and ilyAIMY are REALLY bonding is Led Zeppelin.

rob's open mics
A lot of wonderful artists this month at Teavolve and Busboys and Poets - and that's not even mentioning the featured artists... so I should mention the featured artists! Miles Gannett, Claude Bourbon (UK), Josh Huff and Rupert Wates (also UK). Rupert is so delicious I'll have him twice - once at Teavolve and again at what I THINK is the last open mic at Busboys and Poets : Takoma. (I'm beginning to waffle because this week's open mic was actually a WHOLE lotta fun - in no small part because my featured artist, Annette Wasilik and Talking House, was exquisite - but we had a great crowd - so... come convince me on Tuesday, November 26th!)

Wandering and Wondering:

So, I know it - I've got some formatting to struggle with, but it seems easier to manage than Reverbnation ever was, so bear with me for a sec. Doing battle is what I do.

Bear with me my friends. These monthlys always have a LOT to them, and at the moment I'm a little distracted. I WANT to give you my full attention, dear reader, but I'm thinking a lot about the weather. I'm giving it my hairiest of hairy eyeballs. I'm having conversations with bandmates and hats. Weather-prognostication hats.

You know how it is.

Even if you don't, tell me that you do, cause I don't want to be the only guy out here talking to his hats.
