We played a 5 piece show in Ellicott City for Cinco de Mayo. There is no similar logic for playing a six-piece show this Thursday in Annapolis, except the logic of like. Like and want. The logic of Loooove.

Can you tell we also just played a show with the Kentucky Derby on in the background?

We couldn't QUITE take it all seriously, we kept horsing around.

There's been a lot of ups and downs in the past several weeks. I've given up trying to guess. And I feel like by the time I write a decent Journal entry about something that's got me down, something pops along and inverses it. I feel that there's an Evil Twin rob... one shorn of moustache and beard... one who always kept his hair short and nose clean... and he's been wandering the timeline just altering things ENOUGH that I'm constantly being kept off-balance.

And those of you who're thinking "well, OUR rob has a beard and MUST BE THE BAD ROB" THINK about what the Other Rob is doing with his powers! Never enough to truly knock me out of the running, never enough to DAMAGE my world. And certainly never enough to solve climate change. Just enough to keep me floundering, running in place, and guessing about the weather.

Occam's razor would, mayhaps, show that there are more likely explanations than a multi-dimensional near-rob nemesis, but I've got this feeling in my gut - and I don't think it's JUST that previously-mentioned ill-gotten potato salad.
