Thank you everyone (especially my mom) for an amazing birthday at New Deal Cafe - thank you for all the good wishes and kind wishes and even the weird wishes. Unfortunately, the entire beginning of February has been a gigantic bundle of stress - though plenty of it for good reason, it's just that all the good reasons happened at the same time.
For those of you who don't know, I'm the Chair of the Performance Committee of the Takoma Park Folk Festival. Later in the year of course, I'll be hunting for volunteers and all sorts of help, but as of NOW the applications (finally) went up! If you're a local musician, please wander over to www.tpff.org and apply!
The next layer of stress comes from being voted the Executive Director of Focus Music - a non-profit organization incorporated in VA (but with tendrils in MD) that's been helping offer a small guarantee to my Teavolve features for the last couple of years - they've given my an illustrious title, and I've been racing to keep up ever since.
That's on top of still trying to get the last bits of our next tour to come together AND aging a year!
Yeah.
It's a lot. |
