If I haven't said it recently, and I probably haven't, thank you.
September 2nd, 2003 Heather and I moved into our car and left. We visited friends all across the country, making new ones along the way, and then we just kept going. We did that for five years before settling back in Baltimore, for a given value of "settling". Though the last three years have been relatively sedentary thanks to a global pandemic, we've been slowly getting back on the road, because truly there is nothing like the call of America's highways.
And so on September 2nd, 2023 we celebrate 20 years of this romance with travel, music, and the belief that music can bring people together. Heather's fond of saying we're too weird to ever make it big, and 23 years (she joined us on stage on November 16th, 2021) seem to say she's probably right. But we Love what we do - and on luck on fume on spit on Love - we've persevered and spoken and sang... and we'll be celebrating with some fantastic shows, cause we sure ain't stoppin' NOW. |
