Sometimes the shows, they clump. And though there's nothing attractive about the word "clump", the shows themselves - the clump - is quite attractive.
They're all quite different. The clump is NOT homogenous.
This weekend is the full-band party. Friday at the New Deal Cafe? A festive glass box in which we clump around. Saturday at Monocacy? An outdoor show in late October in which the temperature is suddenly, inexplicably, *summer shorts* weather again, this is not "clumping", and since it's too warm for boots it's not "clomping". More of a "romping" kind of show.
Unfortunately, all of our Halloween ideas are out the window cause it's gonna be too hot, and in any case, Halloween is less about Halloween and more about Heather's birthday, which is Halloween.
And then November 6th and 17th are shows for us to clump with those we Love and miss!
November 6th is ROWAN'S birthday, so ilyAIMY and Ayreheart hit the stage together in Rockville for our just-about-annual ilyAYREheart show in celebration of his existence - and on November 17th, celebrating Heather's 23rd ilyVERSARY*, we're joined by Dan Blakeslee, who sang to the dorms from atop the stairwells, keeping me wide-eyed and wondering through my college experience, inspiring me to play my little heart out. It'll be Dan's first return to Baltimore in far, far too long....
These are good clumps, surely? Come clump with us. After these shows we go dormant for a while, recording and planning, lurking on social media and petting our cat.
He is NOT a clump. He is a lump. And we shall be following his example as winter settles in, gathering our gumption for 2024, which is closer than any of us truly appreciate... |
