Tonight I've got a really incredible featured artist coming down to Takoma Park. Stunning voice and great guitar chops. Someone who reminds me that human voices can go ... here... there... over there... up here... holy crap. Mari Volta's pretty amazing, and you can catch him tonight at my Takoma SPARK open mic in Takoma Park or on the webcast on Facebook, YouTube or Twitch.

HOWEVER - it's not ALL good news! Morsbergers' open mic will NOT happen this week as the venue's honouring a pre-open-mic-existing booking which I can't fault them over at ALL. I actually really respect the fact that they didn't just throw the previous booking out even with new calendars and new management! BUT it means there's going to be a band at Morsbergers on Thursday, NOT an open mic. We'll be back next week on November 16th, but then we'll be off again for the 23rd (Thanksgiving) before settling back into Every Thursday Music City open mics on November 30th going forward.
