ilyAIMY upDates - Tonight w Daniel Lee & Seth Kibel, Thurs Catonsville, Sat Rockville, View online

Incredible guests all month, and it all starts Wednesday w Daniel Lee and Seth Kibel. Live from the Lair at 7pm ET. Click above for YouTube OR hit up facebook.com/ilyAIMYYouTube/ilyAIMY and twitch.tv/robilyaimy for tonight's show.

Playing with performers FAR above my paygrade is intimidating and inspiring. I bring my songs and chaos to the table, and with performers like Juels Bland, Rowan Corbett, Daniel Lee, Seth Kibel, Jeff Miller - and of course Kristen Jones mixing it up and locking it in, my music quickly becomes greater than I could've ever imagined.

Just this week it's Daniel and Seth in the Lair, Juels Bland and I in Catonsville on Thursday, and Rowan and Kristen in Rockville on Saturday. I am a very, very lucky rob.

Wandering and Wondering:

We're kicking off the new year of LftL's with an old friend as a special guest. Daniel Lee started showing up in our Lives when Heather and I would come home from the road to Sharif and Brennan's open mic in College Park some 20 years ago. A stunning performer in the veins of perhaps Prince (the Purple one, not our cat) who has a velvet smoothness to every nuance on guitar and vocal that gave me my first quivering moments of imposter syndrome long before I had a term for those feels. Later on, realizing he was also just a sweet human being and coming to terms with existing in a world where such metahuman performers could exist helped my OWN development an awful lot. He's an inspiration and a force.

And he's bringing Seth Kibel (clarinet, sax) to the party too? It's going to be a GOOD Lair.
