ilyAIMY Dangerous Music for Dangerous Times

I'm vaguely worried about how on Wednesday, when we play on the deck it's going to be 90+ degrees all of a sudden. As I peer into my idyllic backyard at the birds cheeping and the sidewalk NOT frying the squirrels and rats, well - I sort of wish I could do a bit of temporal shuffling.

But I must use my temporal powers when they're needed most, and saving myself from the heat would be an abuse of those powers....

Still - the heat reflects the world right now (as opposed to its more usual inverse) and as we burn and flare and set fire to the world around us - I urge you all to stay safe and stay smart. Think twice about everything that ANYONE tells you, think thrice about everything you say - and imagine being on the receiving end of it.

People aren't things.

Our Awkward Plea : ilyAIMY hath lost all their gigs. If you've got some digital currency burning holes in your digital pockets, we've got physical merch at ilyaimy.square.site and digital merch at ilyaimy.bandcamp.com - and of course we'll happily accept donations at paypal.me/ilyaimy and Venmo @ilytips.

upComing and inComing:

I'm bringing tonight's open mic up here to the top because I think I've got me, Joey, Heather AND Rowan in my list tonight - so we're talking 4/6 ilyAIMY which is DEFINITELY quorum even though we're not physically in the same place!

Tune in tonight at 7pm ET Live either at youtube.com/robsopenmics or facebook.com/robsopenmics !

Every Monday : rob's VOM (Virtual Open Mic)
Every Monday night come get it OUT in a VOM. I've been working hard to make sure that people still have the OUTLET of an open mic, and I think we're gettin' it. Dave Benham's flute, We're About 9's folk, Chuck the Madd Ox's banana hammock. Where else can these cross paths but at an open mic? Every Monday at 7pm ET on facebook and youtube @ rob's open mics!

Wednesday Night Live from the Lair from the Porch. (rHK).
Every week we get the sound a little better, the stream a little nicer. Trio show with acoustic guitar, electric cello, eclectic percussion and three voices folking their little hearts out. Heather's been throwing her heart, soul and back into giving us a home out back of her house, and we're going to make it loud. (the neighbours have poked their heads around the corner... they even came back with lawnchairs... it's a thing!)

Tune in at facebook.com/ilyaimy or at youtube.com/vidyaimy at 7pm ET.

Wandering and Wondering:

Hrm, I'm sure some people out there are thinking there's probably some pretty good things I SHOULD be using my temporal powers for and I frankly agree, but I can only do this sort of thing so awesome and y'all should just be thanking me for wiping out the dinosaurs cause everything would be a LOT worse if on top of everything else we had claws and a second brain in our butts.

Never mind. I've done wrong. I'm going to go back and let the dinosaurs have their way with us. Excuse me while I go shove an asteroid....

In all seriousness - thank you to the scientists who even in our darkest times give us glimmers of hope. Congratulations to the crew of the Dragon on their historic flight - and to paraphrase C-3P0, I hope the damage doesn't look as bad from out there.
