After this we're going to be changing formats as Heather's kids will be back at (some version) of school, Sharif has time off, I get steeped in the chaos of the Takoma Park Folk Festival... September is COMPLICATED. SO join us tonight for an evening with me and Heather and Kristen and Rowan. Join me and my friend Kosi for an afternoon show on Sunday. Join us next weekend for a show with our friends Mark H Rooney taiko jamming on giant Japanese drums. Join Rowan and I for one of the Monday night open mics.

It's not just September that's complicated. The WORLD is complicated. Join us and we'll all be complicated together!

I'm grateful than in a couple of hours Kristen and I hope in the Trusty Saturn and head over to Heather's and busy ourselves about creating a webcast. We'll set up a minimal PA, run 12 lines to a mixer, run that to an interface. We'll set up a DSLR, frame it, back it up, reframe it, think about light, acknowledge the slow passage of the sun in the sky, think about light some more... acknowledge that it'll change and that's just Life.

Or light.

We'll set up the stream. We'll test it and I'll stream to another computer far enough away that I can judge how the audio's coming through without being distracted by actually listening to Rowan and Kristen and Heather. And then once all that's pretty solid... then I'll get to tune and add myself to the mix.

It's actually a lot of work. We're so grateful that you tune in and make it all worthwhile.
