Oh, when you see a man flying around in a hang glider of some sort shooting purple smoke out of his ass you KNOW there’s a sporting event around… and you just KNOW it’s going to fuck up your day. It took me fifteen minutes to get in, and about 30 minutes to get out – sans accomplishing my mission – right near the stadium in Indianapolis, IN.

Columbus Bar last night! This was probably my favourite show for ever so long. People were just so fucking LOUD! The response was fierce and furious and we played extra hard in response, roaring from the balcony. Good attention and good energy – and then retreating from the world to hang with Robin Coleman (Segment of Society) and her cats. My fingers ache, but in a good way. My back aches in a less good way – but tonight I’ll be sleeping on the floor which often makes it hard to FALL asleep, but I usually wake up feeling a little less abused than when I sleep on a mattress.

That’s if these cats ever quit attacking my feet. I may be under too much assault to drowse properly…

I’ll join back up with Heather (who’d stayed behind in Columbus) at an Indiana hospital to visit our friend violinist Emily.  She’s been battling cancer off and on for years now, and she’s in the tail end of yet another bout of chemo. She’ll be home for Thanksgiving and I’ll add that to MY list of things to be thankful for. It hurts me to know that she’s going to be in the hospital for another couple of weeks after WE see her. She’s too young for such troubles.
