We were there none too long ago (wait… two years?!?!) for Christmas.Karen came with!For Christmas, the ballroom at Longwood Gardens is chock full of … well… Christmasness and I hadn’t even registered the pipe organ. And from the front it’s easy to miss…Wandering the wonderous Longwood Gardens in Longwood, PA.I AM THE PUMPKIN KING!!!!Wandering the wonderous Longwood Gardens in Longwood, PA.—-So – we’d mostly come to Longwood Gardens for the “Nightscape Experience” so though I Love wandering around this incredible place, really – we’d been waiting for the sun to go down!This is the same scene – but with ambient music playing through speakers all around us and digital projectors making the cultivated bushes into Mayan sculptures.It was a pretty marvelous transformation – in hindsight, and now knowing what to expect, I certainly wish I’d shot more “before and after” type things!As the sun drained from Longwood, PA – the entire place lit up. It was amazing. I do wish there’d been Live music (give me an ebow, my cellist, some reverb and Dave Benham and we’d have this park on its KNEES!!!) but it was still quite a piece of work!
