Saturday found us playing a beautiful festival benefit for a Farm Less Ordinary, a farm out in Virginia that trains and employs kids and adults on the autism spectrum. They start with local farm work and then continue with socialization at farmer’s markets, and they do really incredible work. It was an honour to take the stage there and support something like that, especially as government programs doing this sort of work are steadily retreating.
It was a stunning day, threatening storms but never delivering, leaving us with dramatic cloudscapes and somewhat reduced crowds. People are gonna have to get over the whole “but I don’t know what the weather’s gonna REALLY do” (especially as government programs doing this sort of work are steadily retreating)
