Baltimore-based singer/songwriter, poet and author Tavair Dominque is a positive FORCE on the local music scene – and I do mean FORCE. It’s not a happy-go-lucky grin, it’s the grin into the wind, fighting the good fight and bringing an aggressive sound of positive change to every chord. Tavair has crossed half the country to become part of our Maryland scene, and that perspective seeps into his writing and performance. Infectious rhythms underlie socially-conscious, self-aware messaging that make him not just an incredible performer, but someone who’s not afraid to lead his audiences somewhere good. I’m HONOURED that he’ll be joining us in the Lair tonight and really looking forward to getting to jam on his songs, when and if I’m not transfixed and listening.
