Tonight our featured artist is something of a mystery to me – Mari Volta appeared at one of my open mics this summer and blew my mind with his powerful, wide-ranging voice. Upon chatting with him he turned out to be something of a wanderer and I VOWED (vowed I say!) to have him if and when he passed through again. With a voice like the second coming of Jeff Buckley and with guitar chops that made *me* back slowly away from my guitar, I’m excited to give Mari Volta the stage for more than just two songs!
This is NOT a restaurant so bring your own food or drink if you want to eat or drink! We have a house keyboard, but it’s a small space, unable to support acts larger than a quartet, and no drumkits. 2 songs, 10 minutes, 1 pun – whichever’s shorter.
